Panasonic's digital single lens mirrorless camera, the Lumix DMC-GH3
, and Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH Power O.I.S
lens have won awards from the EISA panel.
The compact system camera Lumix GH3 won 'European Photo-Video Camera 2013-2014' for its versatility as a high class still and video camera while the EISA judges also appreciated the weight reduction of the kit lens naming the Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f3.5-5.6 the 'European Compact System Zoom Lens 2013-2014'.
The EISA judges said: "The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH3 offers the best video quality of any combined still and movie camera in this price segment – and actually in some higher segments as well. It offers full manual as well as completely automatic video recording, making it ideal for in-the-field shooting as well as more formal situations. It's also a pretty handy stills camera with a full range of controls, making it an impressively flexible package. The Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH3 is very popular with videographers partly because it is a very lightweight and rugged, weather-resistant camera that’s serviced by a great selection of high-quality lenses."
Commenting on the Lumix G Vario 14-140mm f4.0-5.8 ASPH Power O.I.S lens, the judges said: "With this update of the Lumix G Vario 14-140mm F4.0-5.8 ASPH Power O.I.S., Panasonic offers a much smaller and lighter version of its kit lens, which has a smooth and silent operation mode and looks perfect fitted to the GH3 and G6 Lumix cameras."
