New ePHOTOzine Features - The team at ePHOTOzine have been busy adding a few new additions and features to the site.
Buzz EnhancementsBuzz has quickly become a hub for members to check out what is happening on their photos, forum topics, blog posts, etc. With this recent upgrade, we have expanded buzz by allowing members to not only see what is happening, but interact with these updates too. Members can now view and add comments to photos, forum topics and blog posts directly from the buzz feed quickly and easily. Also, e2 members have an exclusive feature which automatically updates the buzz feed without the need of a page refresh.
We have also introduced a new aspect to buzz which allows members to follow the activity of their Connections (formally known as Favourite Photographers). This will allow users to connect and share their activity easier with each other. Members can also share a buzz message with a select number of connections or everyone. These messages are a quick way to start discussion or say what is on your mind without the need to create a forum topic.
Needless to say, we understand that privacy is important, therefore all these enhancements respect the 'Recent Activity' setting which means if you choose to hide your recent activity, people won't see your activity in buzz either.
ConnectionsConnections, formally known as Favourite Photographers, has been opened up to all members allow everyone to connect and share with each other easier. When a member adds another member to their connections they will start seeing updates of that member's activity, provided that their privacy settings allow it. As mentioned, this is a great way to interact, share and stay up-to-date with other members.
We had a look at how people used connections and notice that some members can have hundreds of members in their connections. So, to make it easier, we have introduced Sets to group connections in to. This will make it easier to only see updates from a select number of connections.
