ePHOTOzine member TheWanderer
has been crowned this week's Photo of the Week (POTW) winner.
The POTW is picked by ePHOTOzine's founder and Editorial Director, Peter Bargh, once a week and here's why he thought TheWanderer
's photo, 'Peggy', was a worthy winner:
"Taking half an image and flipping it is a useful technique to provide a symmetrical result. It works really well on portraiture like this. The use of the clone tool on the centre pegs to fill a natural gap has been done well. The choice of background colour that's just a few shades off the skin colour gives a more graphical feel to an already strong composition. Lighting from above provides a key light around the model's body that separates her from the background giving some depth. The slightly opened mouth, wide nostrils and shadows under the clothes pegs provide interesting points of contrast through the centre of the image."
POTW winners now receive a £100 (Plus £15 p&p) voucher from Albelli
- the Photo Book experts. Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery
