Forest girl
'Forest girl' by Angi_Wallace

ePHOTOzine member Angi_Wallace is this week's Photo of the Week (POTW) winner.

The POTW is picked by ePHOTOzine's founder and Editorial Director, Peter Bargh, once a week and here's why he thought Angi_Wallace's shot, 'Forest girl' was a worthy winner:

"What a difficult week to pick the image for title of Photo of the Week. With some incredible landscapes in the running it was a really tough decision! I decided on 'Forest girl' by Angi Wallace. You can tell the model is at ease with the photographer and surroundings which has ensured the realistic expression rather than the often posed look.

This gives a strong and convincing eye contact that brings the viewer into the scene. The clothing and props also look like they belong in the scene as part of the story rather than plonked in for creative effect and the choice of processing gives the scene added drama. I love the cold overtones and lighting style that ensures great detail in light and shade while subtle shadows on the model define her skin contours perfectly. The foreground leaves are almost etched in a 3D way leaving the background ones to provide a detailed surround without being a distraction. Superbly executed shot."

POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Albelli. Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery where all shots that have received the award are displayed.
