Jouvenile Hare

This week's Photo of the Week winner has been chosen. The award goes to ePHOTOzine member JohnoP, for the image 'Juvenile Hare'.

The Photo of the Week (POTW) is chosen by the staff here at ePHOTOzine, and here's why we thought JohnoP's image deserved to win the award this week:

This beautiful portrait of a hare is stunningly sharp and shows in wonderful detail this attentive hare. The light from the low sun is positioned just right, giving shadow to define the ears and neck, but not obstructing the face at all.

It's impressive that the photographer was able to get such a close-up shot of a notoriously shy and jumpy animal, and the framing and crop used here is just right to lead your eye along the hare's body and up to the top of its ears, and its bright amber eye. Shades of pink in the background help to add a little more colour to the image. A delightful shot that keeps your attention for a long time.

POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Albelli . Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery where all shots that have received the award are displayed.

An excellent choice, which gives credit to the photographer's field craft, as well as his general prowess
