Batman

This week's Photo of the Week winner has been chosen. The award goes to ePHOTOzine member WindononWildlife, for the image 'Batman !!'.

The Photo of the Week (POTW) is chosen by the staff here at ePHOTOzine, and here's why we thought WindowonWildlife's image deserved to win the award this week:

This is a wonderful shot of a young little owl stretching his wings in heavy rain. The sharpness of the face and the piercing stare give the image attitude - and the pose of the owl is really unusual, the wind from behind rustling the feathers behind the head and adding texture to the shot.

The post leads the eye up the image to the owl, which is focussed on its next destination. The shutter speed used here is perfect - giving the raindrops behind the owl a slight blur, creating movement. The background is nicely blurred, giving a differentiation between the ground and the treeline on the horizon without distracting attention from the owl. A really unique image.

POTW winners currently receive a £100 voucher from Albelli . Take a look at the Photo of the Week Gallery where all shots that have received the award are displayed.
