The latest official, independent audit of the award-winning, eight year old site, shows a massive jump in monthly unique user/browsers to over 700,000 – a 71% increase on the last ABCe audit in July 2007.

Site founder Peter Bargh described the latest figures as ‘absolutely phenomenal’.

He said: “In tough economic times when photography is probably not the top priority for many people, we have just recorded a record-breaking period. We’ve seen several new competitors trying to grab a slice of the market alongside burgeoning social networking sites introducing ways for photographers to meet and share photos. So for us to see any growth at all would have been good - but 71% is just outstanding.

We are obviously thrilled with these numbers and would like to thank our members for their continued loyalty.

ePHOTOzine.com, also a winner in the Hitwise 2008 UK Online Performance Awards, as one of the UK’s most successful photo-websites, offers visitors a wealth of digital and film techniques, tips, advice and highly active forums.

Described by Web User Magazine as ‘a veritable Swiss army knife of a site’, it also provides unbiased product reviews, a unique members’ photo gallery, plus monthly competitions with high value prizes.

Tracey Johnson, ePHOTOzine director, added: “We know that a number of other photography sites claim unrealistic traffic – which is why we have our own figures ABCe audited.

To be honest we expected 600,000 monthly ‘uniques’ so we were delighted when the figures came back verifying 702,774 - a 71% uplift is more than we ever dared imagine!

Our commitment to independent audit ensures our partners can always have total confidence in our online claims
. We thank all our client friends for their continued support".

Richard Foan, managing director of ABCe said: “It is highly encouraging that ePHOTOzine is delivering both comparability and transparency by committing to having its site traffic figures independently verified to industry agreed standards.  ABCe audited figures continue to provide the online media industry with an important tool to support media buyers and advertisers in their buying decisions, and for the market as a whole to demonstrate accountability of spend online.

Fantastic - all that traffic and still excellent response. Congratulations to all!

Mike

I must say I have given up with other site I was on [My Fuji]....this is by far the best...with so many excellent togs here to show your work too,and the added bonus "sensible and informed" replies to questions and informed comments on your photographs..unless you are unfortunate enough to have me comment that is!

Great site/Great people...well done to everyone.

Congratulations to the team!

I have no idea how I got here, Must be an eddy in the river or something, 71% growth there must be a lot like me.
