Epson introduce new flatbed scanners -

Epson claim the built in ASIC Hyper processor ensures the scanner produces images six times faster than other manufacturers, models
The scanner will QuickStart buttons enable images to be uploaded onto the web with the touch of a button, allowing users to utilise Epson's new PhotoShare service announced last month.
Two versions are available a standard and photo model. The Photo model includes an integrated photo transparency unit, which can be upgraded to accept 5x4in trannies. Epson Smart Panel is bundled with both scanners and ArcSoft PhotoImpression 3 comes with the standard while the Photo comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Yasbir Sihan, business manager for consumer products comments, " Amateur photographers or home users who require outstanding quality and speed should consider the Perfection 1650. Its new easy to use features and high resolution allows it to provide excellent images at an attractive price. The Perfection 1250 is for first time home PC or Mac users. It's a slim-line
product with 48-bit input and a 1200dpi optical resolution. Like the 1650, it
can scan to computer or straight to the web, and is ideal for home users wishing
to reproduce holiday snaps, upload images to the web, scan pictures of your
favourite popstars or produce high quality images for homework or office
projects.
The enhanced Epson Twain 5.5 Driver features a full auto mode,
which means that even a complete beginner will be able to achieve high quality
images every time.
This scanner comes in standard and Photo versions. The
Photo can scan 35mm negatives and transparencies. It comes bundled with ArcSoft
PhotoImpression 3.
