Epson January 'Nature' Competition Winners Announced

Last month, courtesy of Epson, ePHOTOzine had two Expression XP-605 printers to give away in our monthly photography competition.

The theme for January's competition was 'Nature' and with over 2000 entries, you didn't make it easy for the judges over at Epson!

After much deliberation, the judges chose shots from ruurd and Coleslaw as the joint winners.



Here's what Epson had to say about the two shots:

'Nanven' by Coleslaw
"A mixture of contrasting shapes and colours work together to create a visually stunning image.  The gentle curves of the rocks, dramatic angles of the boulders against a straight horizon were intriguing. The graduation of colours from the grey foreground, to the warm golden tones of the boulders and bright blue of the sea were quite beautiful."

"This image captures every detail of the butterfly’s wing right down to the individual water droplets. The vivid colours of the stem and bright design really bring the whole image to life. The contrast of the colours against the background provides dramatic impact. Simply breathtaking."
