Not by a long shot (flatbed scanner maybe).
The Nikon Coolscan already uses this to great effect. I was contemplating a V700 for my MF scans, but may now have a re-think, particularly as it comes with digital ICE and is far cheaper than the V700

I've got a V700. You have to sharpen a bit and adjust the height of it's carrier feet, but I have to say it's excellent. I've tried several versions of Digital ICE and never got on with it. It mistakes detail for dust and increases scan time by a huge amount. No substitute for the human touch.

Hi, I wonder whether we can build scanners by ourselfs with the help of some manual tools which can be customized by users according to our own favors to help scan PDF files ? I am testing about the related projects these days. Do you have any ideas about it? Or any good suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Arron
