Cementing Epson’s position at the pinnacle of photo printing, the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 has been recognised as the best photo printer in Europe by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).

The EISA judging panel was particularly impressed with the exceptional print quality produced by the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 especially when it is combined with Epson photo papers. The panel commented, ‘A3+ prints from the Epson Stylus R2880 are extremely detailed, and even the subtlest colour changes are rendered smoothly and gradually. Because three different black inks can be used – light black, light-light black and photo black – tonal gradation is perfect in black and white prints.’

Barbara Kuhr, Head of Strategic Marketing at Epson Europe, added: “Epson prides itself on being at the forefront of photo printing innovation. The Epson Stylus R2880 features UltraChrome K3™ Ink with Vivid Magenta, a revolutionary pigment ink technology that delivers the highest quality available in professional inkjet printing. We are delighted that the EISA has commended Epson for this innovative technology with this prestigious award and we will continue to innovate and develop new products to push photo printing quality even further.”

Epson Stylus Photo R2880 key features summary:
  • Superb image quality thanks to Epson new LUT Technology and Epson UltraChrome K3™ Ink with Vivid Magenta
  • New Epson Micro Piezo™ print head: A new ink repelling coating of the print head improves dot placement which in turn improves print quality
  • The improved driver allows users to create an individual black and white tone, similar to the choice users have with conventional darkroom
  • Long lasting prints on a variety of different media
  • Flexible media handling with fine art paper support, rigid thick media handling up to 1,3mm and CD/DVD printing and standard auto-sheet feeder.
