Press Release:

Epson launches three no-nonsense printers for home users that want excellent print quality without complicated features or an expensive price tag – and as with every Epson printer, all three models feature an economical individual ink cartridge system. The Epson Stylus S22 offers straightforward operation and high quality printing for those who just want to print. Moving up the range, the SX125 and SX218 feature the same high print quality and straightforward operation as the S22, but with the addition of scan and copy functions, and the SX218 includes an LCD viewer. All three printers will be available from June 2010.

Users can print clear documents and lab-quality photos with the S22, SX125 and SX218, and save money with individual ink cartridges, as they only need to replace the colour used. Epson DURABrite Ink ensures that all prints look better for longer, as the ink resists water, smudging, fading – and even highlighter pens.

The SX125 and SX218 allow users to scan and copy with ease, and come with ABBYY FineReader™ OCR software as standard for convenient editing of scanned text. Epson Easy Photo Fix software is also included to help users achieve the best possible scans by restoring colour, removing dust and correcting backlight.

The SX218’s LCD screen makes viewing and printing lab-quality photos fast and simple, and users can save time by viewing and printing photos directly from memory cards without using a PC.

Jason Low, Product Manager for Home Inkjets at Epson, comments: “We cater to a wide range of home users with different needs, and this group of three printers has been designed for users that want reliable printing without any complications or fuss. Apart from high print quality and ease of use, what makes these printers stand out from others in this price range is our individual ink cartridge system, which saves users money as they only need to replace the colour used.
