Budding photographers and professional talents still have 4 days left to submit entries for the first ever Event Photography Awards, designed to celebrate the incredible and diverse nature of the events and hospitality industry, its personality and its influence.
Off to Work, the energetic events staffing agency and training academy that launched the competition, has been surprised and delighted by the very diverse collection of photos received so far. The judges continue to welcome snaps of anything from food photography and entertainment, to special moments captured on camera, interesting scenery and expressions. The competition is entirely open to your interpretation. Entries close on Saturday 15 March at 5pm.
Winners and runners up will see their photographs professionally printed and mounted to form the basis of the Event Photography Awards Exhibition, which will launch at a special awards ceremony for winners on 8 April at the London Irish Centre in Camden, London, on the first evening of Event School 2014, Off to Work’s free two-day hospitality and events skills workshop series held annually.
Judges include internationally acclaimed photographer David Loftus, the creative mind behind the delicious food photography found in chef Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks, and award-winning Irish designer Paul Daly, who has fashioned over a hundred bars, clubs, restaurants, retail premises and residential projects.
Photographs can be from any event that has taken place between 1st January 2013 and 31st December 2013. To enter, send photographs (hi-res) as JPEGs or TIFs to enter[at]eventphotographyawards.com and include:
Clear indication of which category is being entered
Date and location of capture
Title and brief description of the venue / event / experience captured
Type of equipment used to capture photograph, plus any effects used etc.
Name, job title, company, email address and phone number
