Epson and Scarlet Page have joined forces to provide exclusive behind the scenes images of Robbie Williams at his 2001 UK tour. Scarlet, well known in the photography and music industry for her work with British magazines such as Kerrang!, Kingsize and Q, and American magazine Revolver.
Scarlet has worked regularly with British bands such as the Stereophonics, Placebo and Travis. She also often shoots in the US with artists such as Marilyn Manson, Blink 182 and The Foo Fighters.
Digital photography has played a key role during the Robbie Williams Tour, for Scarlet it was important the camera delivered high quality images that captured the atmosphere for the Epson and Robbie web sites. "The Epson and Scarlet Page join forces to provide PhotoPC 3100Z takes a great picture and has the ability to take clear, sharp images, in lowly lit situations. An extremely important feature, when it is not permitted to use a flash", comments Scarlet.
To ensure she captured every moment, it was important to Scarlet that the camera was easy to set up and use. "When I see a good moment for a picture I need to be able to seize it, I don't have time to set-up for the perfect shot. The PhotoPC 3100Z is extremely user friendly and will focus on the subject quickly, therefore making this possible".
Scarlet also had the advantage of deleting any images that didn't make the grade and simply reshoot. This was also of advantage when using the video facility, "I wanted to capture some live footage so I used the video facility on the PhotoPC 3100Z. The quality is great and I captured a great performance from Robbie. Should the video not have been as I planned, it can simply be deleted and therefore isn't using up any unnecessary memory", adds Scarlet.
Scarlet is not new to Epson products, she has been using an Epson photo printer for over two years. "Every photographer I know in the industry owns an Epson photo printer, it is the essential accessory for high quality photo printing", comments Scarlet. "I can produce fantastic quality prints, that are comparable if not better than any photo lab".
"I am extremely excited to be working with Epson and Robbie Williams, because it gives me the opportunity to work with a company that is professional and fun and it is also allowing me to experiment more with digital photography".
