Loxley Colour has flown a world-class California-based filmmaker to its Glasgow HQ for a two-day video shoot to show their customers what goes on behind the scenes at their prolab.
Managing director Ian Loxley commissioned award-winning cinematographer Anton Lorimer to produce a short video outlining, for the first time, just how the 52,000 sq ft lab works.
Ian said: "There has been such massive change and evolution in the industry over the past ten years that for many customers prolabs like ours appear to be shrouded in a veil of mystery about what goes on behind the factory walls. We decided it was time for that alchemy to be revealed.
The new corporate video on our website is only just over two and a half minutes long but it is a UK-industry first and it’s a professionally executed snapshot of what we do; how we embrace latest technology and how we support the development of this industry. And it seems to be working. We’ve only been live for a few days and we have already had thousands of hits on the video."
Ayrshire-based photographer Hamish Scott-Brown added: "Loxley’s work is superb. My success is due to the quality of the work they produce. This film affirms they are at the forefront of technology in this sector."
Fine art photographer Trevor Yerbury said: "Prolab workflow can be a bit of a dark art as far as many photographers are concerned. Loxley have done a great job in opening up their backroom secrets for all to see.
They are leaders in their field and they exist to help photographers make money with world-class products created and developed in a world-class, state-of-the-art environment."
