The ScanMaker 8700 comes with ScanWizard 5 - a program designed exclusively for Microtek scanners that applies intelligent scanning technology to automatically determine the size of a photo or document, adjust colour, brightness and contrast for optimum results. A follow me tutorial directs novices step-by-step through an actual scanning session and scanned images can be automatically transferred to printer, e-mail or image-editing software. More experienced users may override the automatic settings for precise individual control over every aspect of the scanning process.
