Five new digital cameras announced from Fujifilm

Fujifilm today announced the addition of five new models to the best-selling FinePix range of digital cameras. Each model combines a compact, sleek design with class-leading specifications that have been developed specifically to meet the needs of consumers looking for mid-range models with mid-resolution, compact, stylish design and exceptional value-for-money. Furthermore, advanced power-saving technologies ensure the maximum possible number of shots from a single set of batteries (just two batteries for most models). The new camera range marks the debut for the newly-announced xD-Picture Card memory format.

Leading the new models is the FinePix S304 Zoom. With an effective resolution of 3.24 megapixels, the FinePix S304 Zoom sports a 6x optical zoom lens (38-228 mm, 35mm equivalent) and programmed auto and aperture priority exposure modes. Along with five flash modes, this camera is ideal for the photographer wanting great photos across a range of situations without sacrificing style. 4 x AA alkaline or In-MH rechargeable batteries provide long battery life. The FinePix S304 also provides 320 x 240 movie recording with sound, the option of voice annotation, enabling a short voice memo recording to accompany shots, and can be used as a digital voice recorder.

The compact and stylish FinePix A303 Zoom also offers 3.24 megapixel performance and a 3x optical zoom equivalent to 38-114mm. With a high-quality 1.5-inch TFT LCD preview screen and optical viewfinder, it is perfectly equipped to capture brilliant photos across a range of shooting conditions. The FinePix A203 Zoom delivers the same specification and performance, featuring a 2 megapixel CCD sensor. Both models are ultra-compact and feature a premium finish and sleek styling. The programmed auto exposure mode makes these models perfect for anyone wanting a stylish yet pocketable camera that is always ready for action.

The FinePix A204 Zoom and FinePix A202 reaffirm Fujifilm's credo that affordable prices do not mean low specification. Each model sports a 2 million effective pixel CCD and offers extra long battery life from just two AA batteries. Superb optical performance is offered in both models from a fixed, 36mm equivalent lens in the case of the A202 and a 3x zoom lens on the A204. Both models also feature movie mode, and switchable macro mode. They also offer point and shoot simplicity in a compact stylish body, making them ideal for a wide range of users.

Multimedia
Each of the new FinePix models offers a 320 x 240 pixel (quarter VGA) maximum resolution movie mode. This is ideal for capturing video clips that can be edited into a movie using the (supplied) ArcSoft VideoImpression software. In addition, each model can also be used as a webcam for internet conferencing.

Complete out-of-the-box solution
Each of the new FinePix models is supplied with a full complement of accessories including two AA alkaline batteries (four in the case of the S304), 16MB xD-Picture Card, carry strap, software CD-ROM and USB cable. The supplied software CD includes USB drivers, Fujifilm's FinePix viewer for image browsing and corrections, DP Editor and VideoImpression for movie editing. Additionally, the FinePix S304 is supplied with a shoulder strap, lens hood and lens cover.

Optional accessories include additional xD-Picture Cards and USB memory card readers.
