Getting a great bridal make-up shot - Chris Hanley gives us his tip for creating a superb portrait of a bride.

Chris Hanley is a photographer who specialises in weddings and portraits.  He likes to approach his work differently to other photographers and has recently started to do "cherish the dress shoots" a backlash to the harsh trash the dress shoots that are now popular.  You can learn more about him and his work at Chris Hanley.

Here's his tip for a great looking shot of a bride:

"You can get great bridal make up shot by asking your bride to stand about 5 paces from a window. North facing gives nice flattering even light. I get the bride to extend her hand and look down at her nails, just like this shot."
