Did You Win Our 'Flowers' Competition? - Find out who's won an Olympus PEN E-PL3 in ePHOTOzine's latest competition.

Words by Emma Kay.

Last month, ePHOTOzine ran a photography competition all about flowers and an all time record number of entries were submitted for this competition, resulting in well over 1700 photos!

Recording flowers artistically can be a challenge but our overall winer, Martinl, did a brilliant job of capturing a poppy field. The tight framing, low angle and light in this image make it stand out from the rest.

In second place is Cole, whose shot of a wild flower in the rain captures nature perfectly.  The flower head is positioned in the upper left third so compositionally it suits the rule of thirds and subtle detail in the white petals is recorded faithfully thanks to Cole's careful exposure control.

Congratulations to Martinl and Cole, both of whom win a Olympus PEN E-PL3.

Well done to the shortlisted as the final list was relatively small, so those who did make the cut deserve a huge pat on the back! Thank you to everyone else who entered too.

We always show all the entries on the competition page once it's been judged. They are filtered to winners and shortlisted with "view more" to see all entries.
