Lakeland Photographic Holidays

Based in Braithwaite, a small picturesque village in the heart of the Lake District, Lakeland Photographic Holidays offers a range of photographic holidays and workshops in one of the most beautiful places in Britain.

The company has been the proud receiver of the Cumbria Tourism Award for Tourism Experience of the Year 2012 recently, and that is no small feat.

Gail and John Gravett have run the company for 13 years, and in that time they have completely transformed the business. It is now a hugely successful digital based business operating 11 months of the year. Over half of the customers come back time and time again, with their idyllic home and dedicated photographic centre at full capacity most of the time.

Lakeland Photographic Holidays provide a top class photographic experience in which photographers can improve their work in a superb location with great quality accommodation and facilities. John and Gail have expert local knowledge of the lakes and this makes them the perfect guides for your holiday.

LPH workshops are all customized to meet the guest's needs, making sure that they get the best experience available for them. “John assesses the individual requirements at the beginning of the workshop, whether guests need technical support, guidance on composition and exposure and preferences of photographic subjects. Every week is unique and flexible to meet our guests requirements. The three full day excursions are then customised to meet these needs, taking into account the season, weather and abilities of our guests.” says Gail.

Each day is then finished off with an evening feedback session, giving photographers hints and tips on how to make their photos better, along with how to post process images to make them look better if necessary.

What makes these courses special is the homely feel, and the fact that you have so much support and guidance all the way through your holiday. Each day is packed full of photographic excursions and feedback sessions, with lovely home made food and comfy beds included in the price.

Prices start from £475 and include everything you could possibly want in a photography holiday. Courses tend to get booked up very quickly, so book yours now!
