Chris Hanley's tip for a unusual outdoor portrait - Framing outdoor portraits with Chris Hanley.
Chris Hanley is a photographer who specialises in weddings and portraits. He likes to approach his work differently to other photographers and has recently started to do "cherish the dress shoots" a backlash to the harsh trash the dress shoots that are now popular. You can learn more about him and his work at Chris Hanley.
Here's his tip about creating a different look to an outdoor portrait:
"Put a long lens on your camera and dangle a pieces of leaf in front of a wide aperture to create a pleasant but different look to your outdoor portraits."
The bright green adds colour to the shot and also acts as a nice, natural frame that draws the eye to the model.
