Fuji digital camera image scoops Wanderlust Travel Photo of the Year award - FinePix 6800 Zoom camera user beats other entrants using newer or higher specification cameras, including the Nikon D100 and Canon EOS 10D
The FinePix 6800 has been a hugely popular camera, and is ideally suited to the challenges of photographing wildlife because of its powerful optical zoom that captures images quickly and discreetly without intimidating the subject. This feature enabled Andrew to achieve crisp, detailed images without having to use a large, bulky zoom lens.
Andrew Chong commented, "I selected the FinePix 6800 because it offered great resolution. It's small enough to be carried anywhere and taken out quickly when an opportunity presents itself. Given that wildlife photography is all about taking shots rapidly and on the move, this camera was the obvious choice for my requirements. The excellent auto-focus setting for quick reaction shots also proved invaluable in achieving these images."
Andrew has recently upgraded his camera and chosen the FinePix S7000 Zoom to continue his passion for wildlife photography. In particular, the FinePix S7000 Zoom has a superb range of settings, which are ideal for capturing brilliant colours, regardless of light levels. The FinePix S7000 also offers a 6x optical zoom and an exceptional 12 million pixel image output, enabling wildlife photographers to take long-range and detailed photographs.
Adrian Clarke, Fujifilm's Director of Consumer Products, commented, "We would like to congratulate Andrew on winning this award, and we're delighted that he produced such high quality images when competing against cameras of higher specification. This award is a testament to his skill, as well as the superb handling of our cameras, and the resulting image quality."
