Fujinon Super EBC XF 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 R LM OIS Lens - with a 62mm filter thread.
The new Fujifilm Fujinon 55-200mm telephoto zoom X-Mount lens is the longest reach available for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and X-E1, and gives the equivalent of 84 to 305mm in 35mm terms. The lens is priced at £599 (RRP) and is due for release in May.
The lens has a high build quality with a metal body and large rubber ring around the zoom ring. The aperture ring is closest to the body of the camera making it easy to adjust the aperture setting. A switch on the side lets you switch between auto or manual aperture control and another switch lets you switch OIS on and off.
The lens extends when zoomed, and the lens will only work with the optical viewfinder of the Fujifilm X-Pro1 at the 55mm setting, where a small square will mark out the crop factor, to zoom beyond this you can use the EVF or rear screen. On the Fujifilm X-E1 this is not an issue as there no optical viewfinder, just the electronic viewfinder and screen.
