Fujifilm to increase prices - Fujifilm have announced a price increase for colour negative photo film products.
Press Release:
Due to escalating costs of raw materials, such as silver and oil, Fujiflm have announced that they will be implementing worldwide price increases for its colour negative photo film products from October 2007. The decision is expected to result in an average rise in cost of between 5 and 10% for products in the UK (depending on product type).
The price increase follows global structural reforms by the company, which have been implemented to combat ongoing market changes in the photo imaging industry and ensure that it continues to satisfy demand for high quality products.
David Honey from Fujifilm comments: "Obviously, rising costs of production and transport coupled with declining volume world-wide for film products means that it's necessary to raise prices by a small amount. We are very passionate about our film users and remain committed to providing the highest quality product and service"
