Garden Photographer of the Year 2008 Photography Competition

All you have to do to enter the competition is submit your image or portfolio of images to one of the following four categories:

• Plant Portraits
• Garden Views
• My Garden
• Life in the Garden
• Trees

The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image.

Prizes:

Best overall Single Image:
£5,000 cash and the title “Garden Photographer of the Year”

Best overall Portfolio:
£3,000 cash, £2,000 Calumet Photographic Vouchers, plus more than £1,000 worth of vouchers from Manfrotto, Kata and Visible Dust

Best in Category (eg 'Plant Portraits'):
£700 cash, plus more than £700 in Kata, Manfrotto and Visible Dust vouchers
*Best Single Image would also be a Category winner

Category second place:
£250 cash, plus £300 in Kata, Manfrotto and Visible Dust vouchers

Category third place:
£250 in Kata, Manfrotto and Visible Dust vouchers

Portfolio second place:
£250 cash, plus £600 in Kata, Manfrotto and Visible Dust vouchers

Portfolio third place
£250 in Kata, Manfrotto and Visible Dust vouchers

Additionally, The top 100 winning and commended images will be shown at a purpose-built outdoor exhibition in Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, London from May to September 2008 to an audience of hundreds of thousands of viewers
