GE E1486TW

General Imaging have announced two new additions to the GE range of digital cameras - the GE E1486TW and E1480W, both to be available from April 2010. As well as the E1486TW and E1480W there are set to be more GE cameras to be announced later in the year.

Press Release:

General Imaging, the exclusive licensee for the GE camera brand, announced an April arrival for the first cameras in its 2010 range.

For photographers looking for high zoom power, great performance and stunning looks in a compact digital, the GE E1486TW and E1480W are the models to watch out for. Both will be available in the UK in April. A large 3in touch screen control makes the E1486TW easy and quick to use; simply swipe a finger to scroll through your pictures or pinch the screen to crop and resize photos. Both the E1486TW and E1480W are loaded with highly-coveted features, including high-definition movies, 14Mp resolution and an incredible 8x optical zoom. At just 19.8mm the E series cameras offer – at time of press - the slimmest 8x optical zoom performance in the market.

Both the E1486TW and E1480W offer innovative optical image stabilisation (OIS) technology that delivers crisp, clear photos, while a 28mm angle lens provides the flexibility to go wide when needed. The E1486TW and E1480W will be available in black, red, and silver.

Each of the sleek cameras in the Smart Series is loaded with intuitive features that make photography simple. The two new models in the GE Smart Series line-up are the GE A1255 and GE A1455, each with 5x optical zoom to get you closer to your subjects and a 2.7in LCD screen to preview your shots easily. The GE A1255 is a robust camera featuring 12Mp. For the everyday photographer who seeks even greater high-resolution detail, the GE A1455 offers 14 megapixels. Both will arrive in April, and are available in black, silver, red and pink.

GE cameras continue to boast many advanced features as standard -  Pan-Capture Panorama for seamless, wide-angle shots; Auto Scene Detection for sharp, vibrant pictures in any setting; Blink, Smile and Face Detection to showcase the best of the people you’re photographing; Image Stabilisation for high quality, vivid images; and In-Camera Red-Eye Removal.

We regularly receive very positive feedback from retailers and consumers who are impressed with the high performance of GE cameras. We’re confident that our newest additions to the Power Series and Smart Series will continue to provide extraordinary results for every photographer,” says Gary Banks, General Imaging’s European Commercial Director.
