GE digital cameras revealed at CES - Feature-packed Active, Smart, Power and Power Pro Series cameras deliver high-performance features to photographers and enthusiasts.

GE POWER PRO
The GE PJ1 camera includes a built in Pico projector to conveniently beam images and video onto almost any surface up to 70 inches. The slim and compact camera shoots stills at 14.1mp resolution, HD movie at 720p and includes a 7x optical zoom (equivalent to 28-196mm, f/3.9-f5.8 in 35mm and a 3 inch high resolution LCD. Using DLP technology the PJ1 achieves a contrast ratio of 300:1 and a brightness of up to 13 lumens.
For business use the PJ1 can even be linked to a laptop and used as a handy portable video projector.
The GE PJ1 is available in black, and wants for nothing in the specification department with more than 20 shooting modes plus face auto exposure, smile and blink detection. The PJ1 uses SD and SDHC memory cards up to 16 GB and a fully-charged PJ1 will give allow 70 minutes of projection time.
Compact and convenient, the PJ1 sets a new standard for mobile projecting. Available in February.
Building on the tremendous success of its first – and bestselling - GE X5 Power Pro “bridge” camera, the new GE X500 is even more powerful. The X500 features an Electronic View Finder, 16 megapixels, Optical Image Stabilisation, a powerful 15X optical zoom and 27mm Wide Angle Lens for clear, crisp pictures that bring you closer to the action. As easy to use as most point and shoot cameras, the GE X500 is an outstanding camera with many of the most popular and advanced features found in larger, more expensive SLRs. Advanced features like Shutter and Aperture Priority Modes; High Dynamic Range and Smile, Blink and Face Detection, make the X500 an attractive introduction to bridge cameras. The X500 arrives in the UK in the spring.
For photographers looking for power and performance in a compact point and shoot, the GE E1680W is among the slimmest models available in the long zoom category, offering 8X optical zoom. Its thin profile and aluminium chassis is fully loaded with advanced
features, including high‐definition movies and playback via HDMI connection, 16 megapixel resolution for incredible clarity, and 28mm wide angle lens. Optical Image Stabilisation, Auto Scene Detection, and a large three inch LCD screen make the E1680W even easier to use. This addition to the GE Power Series will be available in February in the UK, in black, silver and red.
An ultra slim aluminium design, combined with intelligent, intuitive features makes the GE E1450W an easy choice for a powerful, compact point and shoot. HD video, a 28mm wide angle lens and image stabilisation enhance the user experience and capture the full
impact of subject, scenery and landscapes. With 14 megapixel resolution, 5X optical zoom, 2.7 inch LCD screen, Pan‐Capture Panorama and rechargeable Li-ion battery, this camera is irresistible. It arrives in April in the UK in black, silver and red.

A retractable USB plug makes sharing and uploading photos simple and convenient as well as charging the GE J1470S on the go. Eliminating the need for USB cables and adapters makes accessories a thing of the past. The GE J1470S also offers an impressive 14 megapixels of resolution, a powerful 7X optical zoom lens to bring you closer to the action, the ability to capture HD video with 720p resolution, Pan-Capture Panorama for seamless wide angle shots, and a large 3.0inch LCD screen. It also includes all of the advanced features that make GE’s Smart Series cameras an unbeatable choice of compact. The GE J1470S will be available in March in black, silver and red.
The A1456W maintains many of the same intuitive features as its predecessor but with 14 megapixels and a new 28mm wide angle lens. The A1456W also has 5X optical zoom, Pan-Capture Panorama and High Dynamic Range, in addition to standard, advanced features including Image Stabilisation; Smile, Face and Blink Detection; Face Auto Exposure and Auto Scene Detection. With a 2.7 inch LCD screen, this feature rich digital camera will be available in March in black, silver and red.
The new entry level model - the GE C1433 - is equipped with an exceptional 14 megapixels of resolution (increased from 12 megapixels in last year’s model) for even crisper pictures. The C1433 includes 3X optical zoom; Image Stabilisation; Smile, Blink and Face Detection; Panorama Stitching and Red-Eye Removal. The GE C1433 will arrive in February in the UK, in black, silver and red colours.
The colourful, pocket-sized and waterproof GE DV1 features a convenient, built-in flip out USB plug for instantly connecting and uploading HD videos and photos to share. With full HD 1080p movie recording capabilities combined with a highly durable exterior, the DV1 is not only waterproof to 5 metres, but shockproof and dustproof which makes this video camera perfect for consumers to take anywhere.
