The new Giotto’s Silk Road range of tripods has scooped a prestigious TIPA award for Best Design.
The Giotto’s Silk Road YTL Series features a new, totally unique Y-shaped centre column, bringing a totally new dimension to tripod design – meaning legs can be stowed in a much more compact way, allowing a space saving of 30%.
Every year, TIPA editors vote for the best photo and imaging products introduced to the market during the previous 12 months. TIPA editors take into account innovation, the use of leading-edge technology, design and ergonomics, ease-of-use, as well as price/performance ratio.
Mark Hoskins, the Category Manager responsible for Giotto’s said: "Giotto's is always looking to push the boundaries in tripod manufacture - meeting and exceeding the needs of today's photographers. The TIPA Design Award for the new Silk Road series is a real coup - not only recognising the expertise of the design team, but confirming Giotto's tripods as one of the leading brands in the photographic market."
The Giotto's Silk Road range starts from £100 for aluminium models and £220 for carbon fibre models.
