Bogen Imaging, leaders in photographic accessories for the professional and enthusiast photographer is pleased to announce the launch of the World’s first monopod dedicated to sport photographers, the Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod.

The Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod provides solid support for long lenses yet is ultra compact and easy to carry – perfect for travelling to sports events and carrying lots of kit.

When folded the Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod is only 41cm extending to an eye-level 153.5cm when fully extended. It has a maximum load capacity of 25Kg yet weighs only 780g, and features a helpful belt clip making it easy to carry to locations.

Compact and sturdy, the new Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod maintains its rigidity with G-Lock, while the rubber foot can be removed to allow an optional spike to be fitted – ideal in sand, snow or mud.  All combined with Anti Leg Rotaion (ALR) the monopod provides ultra quick and precise action for capturing those fast moving shots.

The Series 5 Traveler Monopod is inspired by the 2008 Olympics, a commemorative special edition featuring the “888” logo has been created by Gitzo to celebrate the Beijing Olympic Games. Only 20 of these special edition Monopods will be available to the UK market.

The recently launched Gitzo centre ball heads are a perfect traveling companion to the Gitzo Traveler Monopod, giving the photographer extreme performance from an incredibly lightweight kit.
