Great Photo Pro 2 Performance
When you open the program the various editing options are available along the top of the screen. Down the left hand side is where you need to go to open images. You can select individual or multiple images or open a whole folder of images. When switching between the pictures you're editing you have to save each time, rather than working on a number of images and saving them all when finished. When you've images opened the left side panel is also where you go to export and save your images. Pressing info gives you details about the image such as ISO, aperture and more. We're going to look at each individual feature in turn.

Big Aperture
This makes your images look like they have been taken with a DSLR using a wide aperture. There are four options to choose from depending on your subject; building, portrait, macro and nature. You're able to leave your subject in focus while blurring the edges. The nature one can be used to create images with a miniature effect.
Big Aperture Building
Colour Splash
When you enter this mode your chosen image is automatically turned to black and white. You can then use the brush to put colour back into areas of the picture. If you go wrong you can use the eraser to remove the colour or fine tune. You can amend the size, softness and opacity of the brush.
Colour Splash
HDR
This is very similar to another program from Everimaging that we reviewed in January 2013 - HDR Darkroom 2. It's simple to use, just select at least two pictures of the same scene at different exposures and hit start. The images are merged together, with ghost reduction available if your images are slightly out of line. It processes the images quickly and you can use the tone mapping options for different styles.
HDR
RAW
Load a RAW file and there is a short processing stage. Similarly to the HDR mode, you can use the tone mapping options to quickly and easily make impressive JPEGs from your RAWs. If you shoot in RAW but don't feel confident at processing them in Photoshop for example, Great Photo Pro 2 makes the process quick and easy while achieving impressive results.

Collage
Within the standard collage mode there are a number of layouts available using between 2 and 8 shots. Just click and drag your photos in from your loaded photos. By clicking on an imported photo you can change the composition by moving, increasing the size and rotating. There are 4 border colours available. You can also stitch photos together in either a landscape or portrait orientation, with changeable border size, colours and corners. The third options is free collages where you can select a background and add as many pictures as you want, placing them randomly, overlaying and at different angles.

Photo Stitching
Text
The last option is to add text. You write the text in a box and select the font, size and colour. Other options include text shadows and transparency.
Great Photo Pro 2 Verdict
The Great Photo Pro 2 Mac app packs a good number of creative features to quickly and easily edit your photos. It lacks the tools that Photoshop users may be used to, such as layers etc. however this is ideal for those who are new to photo editing, but more advanced users will appreciate the app as well. For just £6.99, it's very easy to recommend the app for Mac users.
