Press release:

Professional photographer and wedding photography expert Damien Lovegrove from Nailsea in North Somerset will be hosting a workshop this May (2007) exclusively for members of The Guild of Photographers.

Damien, who owns Lovegrove Consulting, which offers training workshops for photographers, will be holding the one-day seminar entitled Business of Weddings, which includes the topics of marketing, sales, finance and customer care for the Guild’s members on Monday, 14 May 2007.

Joan Roberts, who runs The Guild of Photographers and arranged the event, said: “We are delighted that Damien will be hosting this workshop and sharing his extensive knowledge of wedding photography with our members.”

The event, which will take place at Damien’s studios in Nailsea, will cover everything from where and how to market your services to selecting the right tools to maximise photographic opportunities.

Damien specialises in wedding and portrait photography and also runs Lovegrove Photography and Lovegrove Portraits.

Joan added: “It promises to be an excellent workshop and I would heartily recommend it to all our members and anyone who wishes to join the Guild to be able to take part. There are 11 places available at the event, which costs £125 plus VAT per person.”

The Guild of Photographers offers members professional, friendly support and training. Members receive a whole host of benefits including supplier discounts, free promotion of Guild photographers to potential clients and a regular news bulletin.

The body, which plays a key role in the lives of its members, giving them guidance and companionship, and a helping hand when necessary, encourages the use of Guild members above others.
