The Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) have announced the winners of this year's competition, which has a grand prize of $120,000 and an overall prize pool of $389,000 up for grabs.
The competition, which boasts having the largest prize money of any photography competition anywhere in the world, featured four categories: 'Beauty of Light', 'The United Arab Emirates', 'Black and White' and 'The General Category'.
His Excellency Ali bin Thalith (Secretary General, HIPA) said: "121 different countries have presented us with 19,000 photographers who in turn contributed 26,000 photographs.
The judges in this season's award were well aware of the difficulty they would face in finding the best photograph in the 'Beauty of Light' category, because of the high standard of photographs submitted this season.
We are satisfied with what has been achieved during this season's award and we hope to emulate this success next season."
