The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) has begun distributing copies of its limited edition copy of photo editing software ‘Capture One Pro 7’ to all shortlisted photographers from the 'Beauty of Light' season.
The software was initially launched by HIPA during the GITEX technology week last month and distributed to over 200 photographers who attended HIPA’s stand during the technology week.
Commenting on the latest distribution of the software, Ali bin Thalith, the Secretary General of HIPA said that "We continue to assist all photographers with initiatives such as the distribution of this great software. The 200 photographers who attended our stand in GITEX last month were very happy to receive such limited edition software and we are confident we will receive a similar feedback from our shortlisted photographers".
Bin Thalith continued, "The software’s multilingual function (English, French and Arabic), makes it particularly useful to the international talent pool of photographers who are set to use it with their photography. We hope that HIPA can inspire more photographers to excel in photography through our initiatives which will remain forthcoming in the coming months".
Currently in its third season of competition, the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award is set to be the richest photography award in the world for the second season running. Founded in 2011 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the award is set to boast a grand prize of $120,000 and an overall prize pool of $389,000.
