Holga Lens with Special Lens and Filter Turret Handling and features

There are nine lens / filters on each turret. On the filter turret there is a Red Filter, Blue Filter, Yellow Filter, Green Surround Filter, Red Surround Filter, Yellow Surround Filter, Red Blue Dual Filter, Green Yellow Dual Filter and Yellow Blue Dual Filter. On the special lens turret there is a Dual Image Lens, Pyramidal Triple Image Lens, Quadruple Image Lens, Quintuple Image Lens, Horizontal Triple Lens, Star Effect Lens, 250mm Macro Lens, 120mm Macro Lens and 60mm Macro Lens.

To attach the turrets to your camera, there is a lens unit which fits in place like a normal lens. The turrets then attach magnetically. When attaching the turrets, you need to make sure the hole in the turret fits over the hole in the turret. You can then dial the turrets to change to a different lens / filter.

Supplied with the lens unit and turrets are a case and plastic covers for the turrets and lens unit.

Holga Lens with Special Lens and Filter Turret Performance

The Holga Lens with Special Lens and Filter Turrets don't offer much in terms of image quality, but are more about having fun with your camera, perhaps sharing your images on sites such as Facebook. The lens has a fixed f/8 aperture, fixed focus and is a 35mm equivalent of 47mm. Our sample images below have been taken using a Nikon D3000, in manual mode as no other modes would work with the lens.

Holga Lens with Special Lens and Filter Turret Verdict

The Holga Lens with Special Lens and Filter Turret lets you take unique pictures with your DSLR. Image quality isn't great - but the lens is more about having fun, rather than serious photography. It's cheap and could be a good gift or something fun to add to a DSLR if you don't have many other lenses.
