How To Use Your ePHOTOzine Profile

You can browse the site without an ePHOTOzine profile, but if you want to upload photos and comment on the forums, you need to make an account. It's free, and opens up a whole host of new features for use.



Creating your account is really easy – Simply click "Join for free", the green box on the left, and enter your name, email, and choose a password. Hey presto! You have an account.

Once you're logged in, hover over your user name on the right of the toolbar and this menu will appear:

This allows you to quickly access your account email, your buzz and your e2 portfolio, our premium service, if you have one. You can also adjust your settings here. Have a browse an alter them to your preferences.

Instead of hovering, click on your username, and you will be taken to your profile homepage.



Here you can add a profile photo by clicking in the space where there's an outline of a person. Then, you can get uploading photos by clicking on the green "upload to gallery" tab on the left. Simply, browse your computer for the file you want to upload, and click upload photo. It's that easy.

Your profile also has loads of other features. Your buzz lets you know when fellow members have commented on your photos or comments, and tells you when someone has replied to a forum thread you created or a comment you made in a forum.

Click on your about tab, and tell us some things about yourself. You can write a welcome message by clicking on the “tell us about yourself”, and personalise what information other members can see.



Next to this tab is your blog. You can write any news, or anything you feel like sharing here. Just click the green “write a new blog entry” tab on the right.

Under the favourites tab, any photos you have chosen as favourites will appear. Just visit the gallery and have a look through and choose your favourites.

The recent activity tab shows you what you've been up to. It tells you how many photos you've added, how many comments you've made in the forum, and other statistics.

You can add your own classifieds under the classified tab. If you're selling something photo related, place it here and see if anyone on site is interested.

If you're a member of a group, this will be accessible by clicking on the “groups” tab. If you're not a member of any, it will be greyed out.

Hover over the more tab, and all your other profile features will appear. There are loads to have a look at. Have a browse around to get a feel of the features that are available to you.

With a profile, you can also send private messages to other members. You can either do this by visiting their profile and clicking “send private message”, or by typing in their contact details when clicking "Contact" seen above, and then “send a private message” from your own profile page. To view your mail, simply click on the envelope icon next to your profile on the toolbar. The envelope only appears if you have new mail.

Next to this, if you have any notifications, a number will appear depending on how many you have. These are your buzz in an easy to access form.
