ICI Imagedata, the specialist manufacturer of digital imaging media, will be presenting Dr Olmec's Digital Imaging Surgery at Photokina 2004 in Hall 11.1 Aisle D Stand 19 -as well as demonstrating their full range of digital photographic products.

Unique as the only European producer of all three major digital imaging technologies - inkjet, electro photography and D2T2 (dye sublimation) - ICI Imagedata has many years' experience in the design, development and use of photo quality papers and printers.

Dr Olmec is the 'Imaging Expert' - employed by ICI Imagedata to help photographers and computer users create the best photo quality images from their inkjet printer.

Several factors can have an significant effect on image quality, including printer settings, choice of paper for the job, and storage and display and Dr Olmec can provide help and advice about printers, printing and papers.

However, he will be setting up a special Dr Olmec surgery at Photokina 2004, where his technical team will present visitors with a healthcheck for successful digital printing - as well as diagnosing individual problems and ills.

Dr Olmec Trouble Shooting Guides, which highlight the main problems affecting image quality, will be available from the Stand.

The Olmec Photo 500 has a maximum capacity of 285 images. With a SCSI-II interface, truly front-loading capability and the ability to stack one on top of another, the OP500 has proved to be ideal for integration into compact systems, such as Photo Booths, Photo Kiosks and Ride Photographic Systems.

The Olmec OP600 has a maximum capacity of 530 images. A compact, desktop unit, it can produce photo quality prints in as little as 13 seconds!

Simple to operate, the OP600 will run with most PCs - using an imaging package such as Photoshop. A USB 2 connection ensures high speed data transfer and printing with an in-built memory buffer allowing multiple images to be loaded without delay.
