Press release:
The Isle of SkyeThe magical Isle of Skye and its picturesque neighbouring region of Lochalsh have long provided an exciting playground for landscape photographers.  With the ever changing light and the dramatic combination of sea, sky and mountains - the scope for conventional and creative photography is endless here.

The winter months offer additional opportunities for creativity, exploring nature's strange ice sculptures in close-up mode, capturing extreme contrast levels in a winter snowscape either in infra-red or by using a polarising filter, or using a dusting of snow to emphasise or distort traditional shapes and scenes.

To give you maximum flexibility whilst exploring Skye & Lochalsh, this winter photographic break 16 - 23 February 2008, comprises self-catering accommodation for up to four people in Teeny's Cottage, a beautifully restored 19th century cottage overlooking Loch Snizort and the Outer Hebrides. This cosy and well-equipped 4 star accommodation in NW Skye also has a 26 inch LCD widescreen television, a DVD/CD player, hi-fi with built in iPod dock and free broadband wireless Internet access for your laptop to keep you entertained when you're not out and about with the camera.

You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a working day out in NW Skye with landscape photographer, Phil Gorton, benefiting from his knowledge of the area as well as the wealth of his photographic experience. The exact location for your day out will be selected to suit your visual aims and the Skye weather!

Phil Gorton has over 40 years photographic experience, working commercially in the studio and on location as a creative landscaper. Currently working from his studio in picturesque Roag, he is developing an abstract, almost painterly style, unique amongst West Coast photographers.

For your chance to win this inspiring photographic experience, visit the Isle of Skye.
