Despite the increasing move to digital photography, many new film-based models continue to appear. The latest APS camera to hit the dealers' shelves is the Canon Ixus Z65.

The Ixus Z65 is compact (95x64x34.5mm) and lightweight (180g) APS (Advanced Photo System) camera with a 2.7x zoom equivalent to 30-81mm on a 35mm camera. The camera features a 3-point autofocus  system which allows it to determine the main focal point when it's not in the centre of the frame. Exposure is fully automatic, and there's a large LCD panel which provide clear and detailed information and large frequent-use operating buttons. The Ixus Z65 user can also select from date, customised captions and print quantity prior to or straight after taking a picture. Selecting print  quantity saves the user time by enabling them to order additional prints when the film is dropped off for developing. By setting the quantity to '0', users can avoid receiving prints of unwanted photographs.

The Ixus Z65 also features three custom function to maximise shooting potential - RT (Real Time) Release, Flash Mode Preservation and Film Auto-Rewind Stop.Other APS system features include easy-drop-in film loading and Print Aspect Ratio Control.

Price is of the Ixus Z65 is 149.99.
