Jessops have unveiled an exhibition featuring Olympic champion Linford Chrisite. The exhibition, called 'Journey to the Podium', is Christie's first photographic exhibition.

The former Olympian knows what it is like to be snapped and his collaboration with Jessops has given him the opportunity to engage in a passion he has always had for photography. The exhibition presents a selection of photographs taken by Linford whilst training his elite squad of athletes at various locations including Brunel University, Uxbridge and Scottsdale, Arizona in preparation for an exciting summer of sport. The images capture expression of true grit and determination required by an athlete whilst also showcasing the enjoyment and achievements the sport brings.

Christie said: "I’ve really enjoyed turning the camera on those people around me and I now appreciate just how hard it is to take a good picture, especially as I am still learning to do that! I totally get why some photographers are always asking for ‘Just One More’, as it’s not only addictive but you just want to make sure you’ve captured that moment in time."

A selection of the works will be displayed at the Jessops store in Westfield Stratford City.
