Jessops are undertaking their first major television advertising campaign.

The campaign which began in late May features on ITVs Carlton Central region, which broadcasts to the East, West and South Midlands offering a potential reach of up to nine million viewers.

The first phase of the campaign sees Jessops sponsoring the regions weather broadcasts for a three-month period.

This will be supplemented by two weeks of direct advertising, reminding viewers of the opportunity photography offers to capture lifes precious moments.

Both the sponsorship and the advertisement will carry the slogan Think Photography: Think Jessops.

Colin Martin, Marketing Director from Jessops said: This is a tremendously exciting time in photographic retailing, with digital imaging technology continuing to drive interest in photography among general consumers to higher and higher levels.

This campaign aims to capitalise both on this renewed interest, and on the annual growth in sales for the fast approaching peak summer holiday season.
