Kodak adds pro mono film -

"Customers
asked for a black & white film with all the convenience they get with Portra
colour negative films," says Kodak UK capture manager Ernesto Jaconelli, "and
our response is Portra 400BW film. It's a 400 speed, multi-purpose monochrome
emulsion that provides all the elegance of black & white and all the
convenience of colour. It is designed for processing in process C41 alongside
colour negative films and can be printed on professional colour negative papers,
including Portra, Supra and Ultra 111. It is a superb emulsion for portraits,
weddings and many commercial applications - and thanks to Kodak's T-GRAIN
technology offers extremely fine grain and sharpness with relatively high speed.
And labs can now provide a rapid turnaround with excellent black & white
output in their colour negative workflow, with no need for a dedicated
process."
Portra 400BW
film's true 400 speed offers great flexibility and processing consistency. It
also provides wide exposure latitude and delivers high quality prints from
negatives exposed at speeds from ISO50 to ISO1600. It also boasts excellent
latent-image keeping properties, giving dependable results even with delays
between exposure and processing.
Available in
135, 120 and 220 sizes, Kodak Professional Portra400BW will be in stock at
authorised dealers from June.
