Mid-December will see the launch of Kodak Picture CD version 4.2 which comes pre-loaded with new image editing software. This new version includes a free 90-day trial of Micrografx Picture Publisher 10 Professional (RRP 99). Offering the facilities of 'a complete digital darkroom' the software contains a number of new features and tools to enable users to manage, correct, enhance, create and publish any type of image, from photos to web graphics and digital art.

New features include advanced colour support, customisable macros and effects for the creative designer, advanced masking options and an extensive toolkit for web professionals. There's also a time-saving Photo Album facility for managing and batch processing large numbers of digital photos through a Windows Explorer-type interface.

This facilitates online photo sharing and means that users can effortlessly correct and enhance photos with a single click of the mouse. There is also a wide range of Object Features and ebcause PP10 has fully 64-bit CMYK and 48-bit RGB inmage resolution support, users can be confident that thee images they produce will always be the highest quality possible.
