Press Release: Kodak Logo

Eastman Kodak Company’s innovation was highlighted at the recent International Consumer Electronics Show Press Preview, where the company’s products and services won three prestigious Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Awards. The Kodak Easyahare 5300 All-in-One Printer was awarded an Innovation honor in the Computer Peripherals category, while the Kodak Easyshare V1253 garnered Innovations honors in the Digital Imaging category and the Kodak Easyshare ZD710 received accolades for its energy efficient design in the Eco-Design and Sustainable Technology category.

The Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Awards, sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America, honors superior design and engineering among the year’s most technologically advanced products. Chosen for the honor by a panel of independent industry designers, engineers and journalists, the Kodak Products will be on display at the 2008 International CES in Las Vegas from January 7-10, 2008 in the Kodak booth, Las Vegas Convention Center.

About the Kodak Award Winners
The Kodak Easyshare 5300 AiO Printer (£139.99 MSRP) uses Kodak’s premium, pigment-based ink, priced at £6.99 for a cartridge of black ink and £9.99 for a five-ink colour cartridge (US MSRP), and can save consumers up to 50 percent on everything they print compared to similar consumer inkjet printers. The Kodak Easyshare 5300 All-in-One Printer offers a 3in colour LCD display that enables photo viewing and cropping directly from the printer. Memory card slots provide an additional quick and simple way to print digital pictures without a PC. Featuring print, scan and copy capabilities, the 5300 delivers high-quality documents and photos for users who enjoy printing without limitations. The 5300 can print and copy up to 32 pages per minute in black and 30 pages per minute in colour, and print photos from PictBridge enabled cameras without involving a PC.

The Kodak Easyshare V1253 Zoom Digital Camera (£199.99 MSRP) allows consumers to capture HD still images (16:9 aspect ratio) and video (720p at 30fps), while offering a sleek design and simple-to-use controls. Equipped with 12MP resolution, a 3x Schneider-Kreuznach optical zoom lens and Kodak Perfect Touch Technology, the camera provides exceptional image quality for every shot. The V1253 boasts Face Detection Technology, which automatically adjusts the camera’s settings for outstanding portrait shots, and Digital Image Stabilisation to reduce blur caused by camera shake or subject movement. Images can be instantly viewed in 16:9 aspect ratio on the large 3.1in LCD screen of V1253. The 7Mp Kodak Easyshare ZD710 Zoom Digital Camera (£129.99 MSRP) is a versatile, fully-automatic camera with 10x optical zoom and high ISO. The ZD710 is equipped with features that help consumers take consistently better shots, like Digital Image Stabilisation and Kodak Perfect Touch Technology.
