Packed with information on a wide range of vintage collectable cameras, accessories, books and manuals, the latest catalogue from Jessops Classic is now available.
Pride of place on the front cover of Issue 25 goes to two Zeiss Contarex models, members of a group of SLR cameras that many would argue have never been equalled.
The Contarex Bullseye - nicknamed the Cyclops because of the large round exposure meter over the lens - was the first Contarex camera to be manufactured, in the late 50s and 60s.
The other camera, the Contarex Super, is the rarer of the two. It was made between 1968 and 1972 and was the first Contarex camera to offer through the lens metering.
The 16-page Jessops catalogue features details of these two cameras and many more, and can be requested by calling 020 7831 3640, or e-mailing classic@jessops.com.
Copies are also available for collection from the Jessops Classic Photographica store located opposite the British Museum on Great Russell Street in London, or from any of the six Jessops stores across the UK stocking a small selection of classic items: Cardiff, Cheltenham, Colchester, Glasgow, Leamington Spa, Middlesbrough.
Products can be purchased in person at these stores, or through the mail order service. A daily updated list of available products can also be found on the dedicated section of the web site at www.jessops.com/classic.
