Press Release:

New from Lee Filters, the BIG Stopper is a high quality glass ten-stop long exposure filter. It reduces the amount of light entering your lens by ten-stops allowing you to use a much slower shutter speed or wider lens aperture.

By greatly extending exposure times the Big Stopper has the effect of allowing anything that is moving in your image to become blurred or ghost like, for example, clouds, waterfalls, rivers, and the sea. However the effect is not limited to landscapes, the filter can be used on cityscapes to blur people or roads and motorways to blur traffic.

The Big Stopper fits in the standard Lee 100mm Filter Holder allowing it to be used on a number of different lenses as well as in conjunction with other filters such as neutral density graduated filters.

The Big Stopper will be available from Lee Filters dealers from March 2010 with a list price of £94.00 (Including VAT). Size 100mm x 100mm. For more information please visit the Lee Filters website.

Only a matter of time.
To be fair, I've been waiting for it...

It says its glass, but all of their resin filters are classed as glass as well.
Is this from their newish Pro Glass range?

I wonder how it'll compare to Hitechs 10 stop, which is notorious for IR pollution.

interesting price for glass, i have a pro glass 3stop that costs the same, i would imagine the product is resin based at that price?

even if it has IR issues, it will sell, it will fit my lee holder and open a number of possibilities

i cant wait

Epic, and having just replaced my crushed B+W 10 stop with a Heliopan 10 stop.
