UK will become authorised distributor for Manfrotto camera support products
from December 6th 2003, supplying to the photographic, film, video and birdwatching
markets. It will also distribute the lighting support range into the photographic
and other specialist channels.
To underline the importance the company will be placing on the two key brands
it distributes, Lowepro UK Ltd will be changing its name to DayMen International
Ltd from January 1st 2004, echoing the name of its Canadian-based parent and
paving the way for equal emphasis on both brand names.
As Lowepro is to bags and cases, so Manfrotto is to tripods. Worldwide market
leader in the category, the UK-owned and Italy-based manufacturer is already
well-established in the UK. Lowepro plan to work the same magic they have brought
to bear on their bag and case ranges to Manfrotto, increasing awareness of the
product through increased marketing activity and making it easy for consumers
to see, try and buy.
Key to the launch will be the Focus on Imaging show at the NEC from February
22nd-25th 2004. Manfrotto will have its own stand, where customers can handle
the latest designs assisted by experts from the company.
Lowepro's reputation for customer service will also be carried through to the
Manfrotto brand. Users and prospective users will be able to seek advice on
which products to select for their own particular equipment via a special Manfrotto
Helpline. After-sales service will be provided on a fast turnaround basis from
the company's Wolverhampton base.
