Images can be taken via the app or imported from your camera roll or Facebook. When you have chosen your image you can then crop it into a square if preferred. You will then see your image in black and white. All the image editing is done by pressing areas of your image with your finger, with further editing options available. A small thumbnail area appears in the corner so you can see where your finger is on the image.![]() |

The main editing controls are along the bottom. Pan & Zoom allows you to zoom into your image and move it about so a different section is on the screen. There are Color and Grayscale (this changes depending which effect you are using) buttons, Color adds colour to the image where you touch it, with Greyscale turning it back to black and white. The latter options are mainly for fine tuning if you have added a touch of colour where you didn't intend to.
There are other buttons along the top. To the left there is done and undo. Brush allows you to change your brush and amend diameter, opacity and softness. Effects allows you to add a dramatic effect, choosing from Soft, Dreamy and Hard Light, you can also choose between Grayscale, Sepia and Bluetone. You can also change the Saturation, Hue, Brightness, Contrast and Vignette as well as the strength of the black and white layer via the Adjust button. Hitting more tools allows you to see the mask, brush outline and zoom preview as well as clear and invert mask.
Hitting the done button gives you options to share or save your photos via Camera Roll, Postcard, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Email, FX Photo Studio and Print or start a new session.
