Lomo Russia Day 2012

To celebrate the launch of the new Lomo Russia Day 2012 camera Lomography have a new competition: If you make a real live baby in September and it's born on the 12th of June 2012, you could win a car from Lomography, with scooters for the runners up! Alternatively you can buy the limited edition camera for £349 - I suspect it may be cheaper in the long run.

From Lomography: The Lomographic Society Proudly Presents: The Limited Edition Lomo LC-A Russia Day

Now we bet you wonder what Russia Day has to do with the Lomo LC-A+ and the birth of a baby on June 12th! Several years ago Ulyanovsk Gov. Sergei Morozov, governor of the Volga river region, thought about a way to increase the birth rate and introduced a day off for couples who took part in a spectacular competition: couples who procreated on September 12th and gave birth to a child on Russia Day, June 12th, would receive money, cars, refrigerators and other prizes. Since then the region is holding this competition every year and more and more babies are being born. Lomography wants to dedicate a Limited Edition of the Lomo LC-A+ to this unique competition and will start their own competition to encourage Lomographers to get in the mood for romance.

Legendary Lens

To celebrate these two special days and their craziness for babies, Lomography designed the Lomo LC-A+ Russia Day, all dressed in red leather and equipped with the legendary Russian Lens. Decorated with the symbols of fertility they put you in the mood to take part in their very own Car For A Baby Competition. This analogue love bug is limited to 2.000 pieces and comes in an exclusive package: embedded in a black wooden box, lined with precious silk, it does not need any further lingerie.

The Car For A Baby Competition

Are you keen and romantic enough to join one of the most exciting competitions of all Lomography time? It is as simple as that: Hide yourself away with your honey during September, take a romantic photo which proves the date and let some magic happen. If your photo gets chosen to be the most creative proof of your love, you will receive an original Russian scooter! If on June 12th 2012 a baby comes into your world, Lomography will celebrate this with an additional prize: a Russian family van for your new family! So let’s get in the mood for love!

£349? Yer having a laugh pal!

Forget the fancy box and spermatozoa images on it, you can pick one up for £110.
Mind you, I think I will stick with my 1986 Olympus Trip 35.
