Press Release: Mayima 645AFDII

The System consists of the Mamiya 645AFD II Medium Format Camera with 80mm f/2.8 AF lens together with the recently introduced Mamiya ZD 22Mp Digital Back. The suggested retail price will be £7,500 including VAT (£6382.98 excluding VAT) making it a real alternative to 35mm based DSLR’s.

Launch promotion:
To celebrate the launch of Mamiya’s first digital back JP Distribution will be supporting a special introductory price of just £6000 including VAT (£5106.38 excluding VAT). This will be available until the end of November 2007.

“This is an excellent opportunity for all photographers who have aspired to the Digital Medium Format world” says Paul Roper, Sales and Marketing Director. “The Mamiya ZD Back system offers the best in quality and performance at an unbelievable price”

The Mamiya 645AFD system is the choice of many of today’s working professionals offering the best in quality, reliability together with an excellent choice of high quality lenses and accessories. Now combined with the Mamiya ZD Back via the MSCE interface this makes the 645 AFD system a truly integrated Digital Medium Format system.

New Digital Lenses:
We are also pleased to announce two new Mamiya digital lenses – the Mamiya Sekor AF 75-150mm f/4.5 D and a full-frame 28mm f/4.5 D Aspherical. Using cutting edge lens design and manufacturing technology Mamiya have developed these lenses to ensure superior image quality.

The AF 75-150mm f/4.5 D lens is a medium telephoto zoom lens with an angle of view of 50 to 28 degrees, equivalent to 47-93mm in the 35mm format.

The Aspherical AF 28mm lens has an angle of view of 102 degrees, which is equivalent a 17mm lens in the 35mm format.

Don't understand what the link has to do with the current situation? The camera has now been released.

( THUD!! )

Did you read the content of the 'Pentax' link I posted Mike ????? I'm not about to give you a history lesson here. In other circles it's called 'h-u-m-o-u-r'...

I think as opposed to missing the boat, I think they got on the wrong one and instead of a cruise to the caribbean, they are now in a pedalo off the coast of Iceland.

Smile Smile Smile

I was simply referring to the fact, they don`t make 35mm/or cropped DSLR`s like Nikon/Canon etc, where as Pentax do Smile
