Manfrotto School of Excellence webinar with Marc De Tollenaere

On July the 30th, distinguished Italian photographer Marc De Tollenaere will be leading a webinar on the Manfrotto School of Excellence website: ‘Portraits and nearly portraits with a reportage twist’. Marc De Tollenaere based in Venice, Italy specialises in reportage photography- particularly travel- with some of his pieces collecting notable awards, such as the Day’s Japan World Photojournalistic Award 2005 and the Italian Professional Award in 2008. Marc devotes much of his time to creating photo reports for books and magazines, also working for the Veneto Region and the Province of Treviso; contributing to areas such as field sports, tourism and communication. In addition, Marc has published several books and a produced a range of articles, principally engaging with some of the most beautiful and historical sites in the region of Veneto. Marc is also a photography teacher in Venice, leading frequent photography workshops. Marc’s diverse and experienced photographic background will definitely make for a very interesting and exciting webinar!

During the webinar, Marc will breakdown the approach photographers take, the equipment they use and what to look for in order to develop a simple portrait into one that tells a story. Areas that will be examined are light, movement, atmosphere and how to overcome the obstacles you face when taking a portrait. If you want to capture a moment with accuracy or a dramatic narrative image- this webinar will give you some great tips and new techniques to dramatically improve your shots.
